The Toasted Monkey is locally owned and operated and is located on the grounds of the St. Pete Beach Howard Johnson Resort Hotel located on Gulf Boulevard and directly on the beautiful white sands of St. Pete Beach.Toasted Monley Beach Bar The Toasted Monkey's Gulf Blvd Sports Bar and Grill offers a full menu and full liquor bar that can be enjoyed inside the remodeled dining room or outside on our new deck while watching your favorite team on one of our 25 TV's. The Toasted Monkey Beach Bar is located on the sands of St. Pete Beach and has the charm of a West Indies Tropical beach bar. We have added a new large beachfront deck, volleyball courts and more for the whole family to enjoy. The Toasted Monkey is also a great place to have that special event. Whether it is for get together's for friends and family or business, the Toasted Monkey with its Banquet room and Banquet Menu, can seat and serve between 80 and 100 guests. I am only giving a 3 because the guys that walks the food back and forth from the pool bar to the front bar are very friendly, my husband went in Christmas evening to pick up a to go order though it was extremely busy the bar tender must have no realised my husband was not drinking as she was making rude comments about almost every guest in the bar, I ordered shrimp and grits shrimp was good grits were like rubber, my husband ordered ribs the ribs were mediocre, so we decided to give them another chance the day after since they were as busy, food was better didn't talk to the bar tender, our waitress seemed rushed wasn't friendly until the end of the when it was time for her tip

I ordered the fried egg breakfast sandwich with sausage and they were able to make my egg scrambled on texas toast. The sandwich was huge and so delicious and very yummy it also came with a nice amount of home fries. This meal was so huge I barely was able to eat it all. They are very decently price for be at the beach in St. Pete. Please come check them out they are worth the the ride down here. I will be back again. Thank you guys it was so yummy.
